Solana Beach Heritage Museum

The Solana Beach Heritage Museum is located in La Colonia Park and offers a glimpse into the community's past. The museum is housed in a building that was constructed in 1887 and was the first home built in the area.

Visitors to the museum can explore period rooms, including a 1900 kitchen and parlor, as well as a 1930s kitchen and living room. These rooms showcase the lifestyle changes that occurred in the community as it grew and developed.

The museum also features a timeline photo exhibit that traces the history of Solana Beach, from the arrival of Indians and Spanish explorers to the present day. Additionally, the museum offers living history programs, which are presented by members of the Solana Beach Civic and Historical Society.

The Solana Beach Civic and Historical Society is a community-focused organization that aims to promote civic welfare and support historical preservation. The society offers a range of programs and activities, including educational programs, civic affairs, and historical research.

The museum is open on the first and third Saturdays of each month, as well as by appointment. Visitors can email the Solana Beach Civic and Historical Society to schedule a visit.
